Curriculum

The competency-based program requires of minimum number of clinical competencies and completion of all academic course work prior to graduation. Student completing these requirements will:

  1. Qualify for graduation and
  2. Meet the requirements of the American Registry to sit for the board examination.

Internship

The required clinical internship involves learning the art and science of medical radiography through demonstrations, case studies, and supervised practice of routine diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art equipment throughout the entire two years of education.

Prior to actual practicum, the students are disciplined in professional ethics, human diversity, anatomy, computation of exposure factors, and radiation protection. Also, radiographic positioning classes are conducted utilizing phantoms as "practice patients".
